Post Hooking up a Chaparall Sierra III with a Viewsat Ultra
Hi there I know what I'm going to ask is probably a very stupid question regarding Ku Band and analog but currently I'm using a Viewsat Ultra fta reciever to pick up strictly digital fta signals from birds ranging from 72W right up to 125W. I also have a Sierra III analog reciever which I would like to use in conjunction with my Viewsat Ultra. The dish I'm using is a 39 inch dish with a HH-90 Staab motor which is controlled from my Viewsat obviously. I know that there is probably nothing in analog on Ku band but I like to experiment just to see whats out there. My question is how do I hook up my Chaparall Sierra III to my Viewsat. I see there is a loop jack on the back of my Viewsat but not sure if that will help me out. Do I need a DC block filter in any way to prevent the power from my Sierra III going into my Viewsat if it can be hooked up? Thanx for any help......
